Spray Patching Unit VYKO 6

The VYKO is a towed spray patching unit designed for repairing cracks and potholes in road surfaces. Repairs are carried out through the controlled spraying of bitumen emulsions, followed by controlled crushing of aggregate and, if required, final levelling by smoothing rollers located at the rear of the machine.                                                          

Principle of Operation:                                                          

1. Emulsion spraying – Bitumen emulsion is applied to the repaired surface using a spray bar.
2. Crushing – A crushing roller located in the lower part of the machine, 2, crushes the aggregate to the required fraction.
3. Levelling – Levelling rollers at the rear of the machine ensure a smooth and even surface.

The machine is designed as a single-axle towed working unit intended for coupling to a towing vehicle. In the basic version, the emulsion tank may be mounted in the truck superstructure or inserted into the aggregate hopper of the VYKO machine. The towing vehicle must be capable of towing trailers with a minimum weight of 9 tonnes and allow low crawling speed for precise application.                                                          

The crushing assembly consists of a crushing roller located at the bottom of the aggregate hopper, driven by a hydraulic motor via a chain transmission. Continuous aggregate feed is ensured by a distributing screw conveyor. The area above the spray bar is equipped with two operator seats, increasing comfort and work efficiency.
