Tank Modules – Diesel, Oils, Solid Lubricants and Other Liquids CSN 19 to CSN 23

Product description

Tank service superstructures are designed for the transport and refuelling of mining machinery, vehicles and other mobile equipment with diesel fuel, 3 to 4 types of oil, coolant, suction of used oils and lubrication with solid lubricants. The superstructure design complies with all ADR regulations for the transport of dangerous goods – Class 3 UN 30/1202 – code LGBF. The superstructure can be permanently mounted on any chassis with a minimum payload of 19 – 27 tonnes.

Design of Diesel Tank

1 – 2 compartments, with a transport capacity of 16,000–19,000 litres. The tank is fitted internally with welded surge baffles or partitions in accordance with ADR standards. Tank material: stainless steel AISI 304 (or carbon steel). The tank is equipped with safety valves and a vapour recovery system enabling bottom and top loading. The enclosed dispensing technology compartment is located either behind the cab or at the rear of the vehicle, depending on chassis weight distribution.

Dispensing Equipment:

1x metered dispensing unit via a mechanically (torsion spring), hydraulically or pneumatically rewound hose reel with DN 32 (38) hose, length 15–40 m, DN 32 (38) dispensing nozzle (flow rate 180–250 L/min.)

1x metered dispensing unit via mechanically rewound hose reel with DN 25 hose, length 15 m + DN 20 nozzle (flow rate up to 60 L/min.)

1x high-capacity metered dispensing outlet via separate discharge with DN 3″ coupling and cap (MK 3″) (flow rate up to 400 L/min.)

Diesel Metering Unit

Maximum flow rate up to 500 L/min – mechanical counter or electronic system with temperature compensation to 15 °C, including electronic printer. Optional connection with data transfer of dispensed quantities to specific refuelled mobile vehicles, machines or equipment via RFID card or chip login. Data transfer via web interface or local Wi-Fi to PC.

Design of Insulated Oil and Coolant Tank

A double-walled, indirectly heated 4–7 compartment tank is installed in a separate technical cabinet behind the cab (or at the rear of the vehicle). The tank is configured with 4 × 200–300 L compartments for clean oils, 1 x 500 L compartment for used oils, 1 coolant compartment and a dispensing unit for solid lubricants. All compartments of the separate tank are equipped with calibrated pressure sensors to allow the immediate monitoring of fill levels. The clean oil compartments are filled individually from the bottom via pressure dry couplings. The drum for solid lubricants is installed separately and includes a dispensing hose mounted on a mechanically rewound reel with a grease gun. The used oil and coolant tanks are installed separately within the technical compartment or may form part of the main tank. Filling of the tank is monitored on a display in the dispensing compartment; when 95% capacity is reached, an acoustic alarm is activated.

The metered dispensing systems for clean oils, coolant and solid lubricants are equipped with filtration down to 1–5 microns (solid lubricants up to 100 microns) and hydraulically or electrically driven pumps. Dispensing is via mechanically rewound hose reels with hoses 15–20 m in length and metered dispensing guns. Used oils are suctioned by means of a rotary pump through DN 38 (50) hose, 15–30 m in length, wound on a reel, into a separate tank. Solid lubricants from drums are supplied via pumps to lubricate moving mechanical assemblies either under pressure or by gravity feed, with higher delivery volumes of lubricant.
