Tank Superstructures for Methanol or Ethanol CN‑3V‑M, CN 16N

Tank superstructures – transport units are designed for transporting and filling underground natural gas storage tanks with methanol or for transporting food-grade alcohol – ethanol. The construction of the superstructures complies with all regulations for the transport of dangerous goods ADR – Class 3 UN 336/1230 for methanol (for food-grade alcohol and ethanol UN 33/1170). Complete tanks are either mounted on an interchangeable frame for installation on carriers (e.g. UNIMOG U400) or permanently mounted directly on a chassis with a payload capacity of 4.5 to 17 tonnes.

The tanks have a cylindrical profile manufactured in accordance with ADR standards – code L4BH. The design is single-compartment with baffles and a capacity of 3,000 to 16,000 L. The tank is equipped with a DN 500 top pressure inspection filling opening, a FORT VALE safety pressure and vacuum valve and, if required, an electromagnetic measuring rod for monitoring the current filling level of the tank. Lifting lugs are located in the upper part for handling the tank when empty. In the lower part there is a pneumatically operated foot valve DN 3″ – FORT VALE and a gravity drain. On the right side of the tank there is a walkway with steps.

Dispensing Pumping Equipment – for a fee:

Hydraulically driven rotary pump with suction capability (self-filling of the tank) and forced dispensing via a flow pump with a maximum flow rate of up to 300 L/min.

1x metered dispensing via a mechanically (torsion spring), hydraulically or pneumatically rewound hose reel with DN 32 (38) hose, length 15–40 m, DN 32 dispensing nozzle (38) (flow rate 180–250 L/min.),

1x metered high-capacity dispensing via a separate outlet with DN 3” coupling and cap MK 3” (flow rate up to 400 L/min.)
